Introduction

By launching DSP goals through Perpetua, you combine human creativity with industry-leading technology to put your brand and products in front of the right audience at the right time. Below, you'll find a step-by-step guide that walks you through the basics of launching a DSP goal in our app.

🚨 Note 🚨
The creation of a Perpetua goal equates to a single DSP order on the Amazon Ad console.

Step-by-Step Guide

1️⃣ Access to the "DSP" tab from the left side panel on your Perpetua account (1) and select the "Programmatic Goals" tab (2)
From the "Goals" tab (3), click on the "New Goal" purple button (4) to begin the goal creation flow.

2️⃣ The goal creation flow will open up. Set your goal's name to start with.
The name applied here will equate to the order name in Amazon.

Edit the goal name's suffix, by applying the funnel stage by clicking on the cell aside from the name's field.

3️⃣ Choose the Objective you want to associate with your goal from the provided list. Descriptions for each option will be displayed at the bottom for your reference.

🚨 Note 🚨
If you choose the "Reach" objective, in the following step, Amazon Optimization will be suggested, as it is currently not supported by Perpetua.

4️⃣ Set your Optimization by selecting one of the following options:

  • "Budget Optimization Type": Perpetua Engine, Amazon or Manual.
    (Optimized goals will continuously update line item budgets based on performance. Choose "No Optimization" from the drop-down list to define it manually);

  • "Optimization Priority";
    (Drives your bid optimization and your budget optimization).

  • and "Product Category".

    The "Minimum Line Item Budget Allocation" switch is not required to be activated in order to launch the goal. Switch it on if you would like to set a specific % budget allocation for each line item in this order.

5️⃣ Tailor the frequency at which individual shoppers encounter ads from this campaign by configuring "Ad Frequency Preferences." This feature empowers you to establish a limit on the number of times ads are displayed to shoppers.

6️⃣ Add up to 12 flights and set a budget for each. The flight time will reflect your local time. Click on the "+" icon to add a flight.

7️⃣ Add the products to track and incorporate in audience targeting or creatives.

🚨 Note 🚨
Products that are used within an audience strategy and/or creative in the goal can't be removed.

8️⃣ Add an Audience Strategy by clicking on the "+Add" button.

Clicking on it will generate the "Add Audience Strategy" flow, where you can select :

  • Audiences (Learn more here)

  • Funnel Stage;

  • the Name to apply to the selected audience;

  • and Lookback Window.

🚨 Note 🚨
Before your goal can start spending, Amazon must approve the new audience you created. After the launch, click into the goal deep-dive to check the status and edit accordingly. Re-submit if needed.

9️⃣Add a Creatives to your goal, by building a new one or selecting an existing one.

1️⃣0️⃣ Determine how and where ads are displayed to shoppers by setting up the Line Items.

1️⃣ 1️⃣ Once all the goal-creation-flow steps are completed, navigate to the top of the dashboard, and click on the "Launch Goal" purple button to launch the goal.
