Introduction

Search Insights offers access to our "Global Set" of 100,000 terms, along with the ability to begin tracking your personal set of 25 custom terms for a monthly fee of $50.

Find out more about Search Insights by watching our dedicated Perpetua Ad School lesson here, and its related articles from our Help Centre attached at the bottom of each lesson.

Our global set of terms includes multiple languages. To see search terms in other languages, your account will have to be in the corresponding geography. For example, if you'd like to see Japanese search terms, ensure your account is in the Japan geography.

💡 If you don't have access to Search Insights, please read this other article that will guide you through the accessing process.

How to Add Custom Terms

1️⃣ Search Insights Tab

Access the Search Insights tab on the left-hand sidebar of your account:

2️⃣ All Search Terms Tab

Click on the second tab "All Search Terms":

3️⃣ Track Addition Search Terms

Navigate to the "Track Additional Search Terms" option to enter your tracked searched terms (custom terms):

4️⃣ Tracked Search Terms

An introductive "Tracked Search Terms" window will show up.

Click on "Continue" to go to the next step.

5️⃣ Enter Your Tracked Search Terms

You can now enter the search terms you would like to start tracking through Search Insights by adding them to the related "Enter Search Terms" field.

Click on "Add Search Terms" next.

6️⃣ Confirm Your Search Terms

Review the added terms and confirm them by clicking on the purple "Confirm Search Terms" button.

🚨Note🚨

Please allow 48-72 hours to begin populating your newly tracked search terms.

7️⃣ Successful Message

A pop-up message will show up on the top-right corner of your screen, informing you that the search terms were successfully entered.

How to Remove Custom Terms

1️⃣ Remove vs. Bulk Removal

Remove the terms from the list, by either using the "Bulk Remove" (for multiple terms) or the "Remove" (for individual) options.

If "Bulk Remove" is selected, tick off the box next to the terms you wish to remove and click "Remove Selected", or tick off the top box to remove all:

Revert the Bulk removal by clicking on "Undo":

Otherwise, remove one term at a time by clicking "Remove":

How to Replace Custom Terms

If you are planning to replace a previously tracked search term (or more than one) with another, follow these steps:

1️⃣ Remove Previous Terms

The pre-tracked terms you don't wish to continue tracking must first be removed by using the "Remove" or "Bulk Remove" options (See here how to remove terms).

2️⃣ Confirm Removal

Once you select the term/s you wish to remove, the tag will change to a "Pending Removal". Confirm the removal by clicking on the "Confirm Search Terms" purple button:

3️⃣ Add Your New Search Terms

Go through steps 5, 6 and 7 as mentioned here.

Search Terms Status Tag

Your tracked search terms will be "tagged" with one of three labels:

  • Tracking: will show up on terms you have already been tracking.

  • Pending Confirmation: will show up for unsaved new terms that you entered during the current session. Save and submit the new terms by clicking the "Confirm Search Terms" purple button. Once submitted, it will take 48-72 hours for results to show for your new terms.

  • Pending Removal: will show up when going through a removal of your search terms. Confirm the removal by clicking the "Confirm Search Terms" purple button.
