Introduction
Manage your targets and search terms from the "Targets & Search Terms" tab, accessible from the left-side panel of your Perpetua account.
In the following sections, we will explore each of the two sub-tabs and the actions you can perform within them.
Targets Tab
The Targets tab proposes 2 tabs within it:
Click on the ▶️ icon to expand and view more information about each tab.
All Targets
All Targets
Here you can make changes to your targets that will apply to one, or multiple goals at once as opposed to going into each goal one by one.
Targets that appear here are from all ad units including Sponsored Products (Classic Multi-Campaigns only), Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Displays.
🚨 Note 🚨
Targets belonging to taken-over campaigns from your Amazon Ad Console, or Custom Single-Campaign Goals created on Perpetua will not be displayed.
Targets Status
The icon next to the target will represent its status.
It will be a half-filled purple circle if a target is paused in some goals, and active in others.
The icon will be a lightning bolt if a target is enabled in all goals.
A paused icon will show up next to the targets if paused in all goals:
Manage and Filter Your Targets
Click on the ▶️ icon (1) to expand and view the content of each target. From here, you can view the goal type the targets belong to (2). Navigate your mouse to the right-side of the goal's type, click on the three dots (3) to view the available actions you can execute from this board.
If a target is shared with multiple goals, you will see all relevant goals listed (1). By clicking on the three dots next to the target (2), you can perform the selected actions across multiple goals, including different goal types like SB and SD.
Filter your targets by "Match Types", "Status" and "Performance" by clicking on the "Add Filter" option:
Sponsored Products Targets Management
Sponsored Products Targets Management
Manage your Sponsored Products targets by pausing, unpausing and adjusting their bids.
Targets that appear here are from Sponsored Products (Classic Multi-Campaigns) goals, and Custom Goals (Single-Campaign) created or taken over on Perpetua.
Targets Status
The icon next to the target will represent its status.
The icon will be a lightning bolt if a target is enabled/optimized by Perpetua.
As opposed to the paused icon if paused/not optimized by Perpetua.
Manage and Filter Your Targets
Go to the right side of your targets and click on the three dots to access the drop-down list of actions. From there, you can 'Pause", "Enable", or "Apply/Edit bid adjustments" for multiple targets at once, saving you time by eliminating the need to navigate into each Sponsored Product goal individually.
Additionally, you can access to the Target Deepdive Dashboard to deeply analyse the performance of a specific target.
Along with the filters available in the "All Targets" tab, you can also filter by "Target Text," "Goal Name," and "Ad Group Name".
Search Terms Tab
In the "Search Terms" section, you'll find all the search terms from Sponsored Products ads along with their corresponding performance data, all displayed in a single view.
Overlap Badge
If you run multiple Sponsored Products goals, you may see an overlap badge on search terms in this section. This badge will only appear when you have a product that is being advertised in more than one goal and those goals are bidding on the same search term.
Search Term Overview
If you click on a search term, you'll be taken to the deep-dive view for that term.
This dashboard contains a standard metrics graph and two tabs labelled "Goals" and "Targets". They will show the goals and targets where this search term is being bid on, respectively.
Goals Tab
Here, any goals that are experiencing that overlap will have the same badge applied.
If you click on the badge, you'll see the products involved in the overlap. Click on the ▶️ icon (1) which will expand the list showing the affected goals (2):
Targets Tab
This will surface target performance attributed to search term data (for SP goals only).
How to Negative Match a Search Term
From the "Goals" tab accessible from the search term deep-dive dashboard, you can negative match the search term in the goal/s by clicking the 3 dots and choosing to negative match the phrase or exact match type.
You can apply a negative match from the Targets tab within the Search Term Deep-Dive dashboard. To do this, navigate to the right side of the target, click on the three dots, and select the "Negative Match" option. Please note that this option is not available for Broad match targets.
💡 You can view this search term data and take the same actions within the "Search Terms" tab in the deep-dive view of your Sponsored Products goals.
