Introduction

Placement Multipliers allow you to impact how high your bids on various placements can be. You can edit your placement multipliers within the "Advanced Settings" of your Goal.

There are a few types of placement multipliers available to use.

  • Top of Search % - adjusting to increase bids for TOS placements

  • Rest of Search % - adjusting to increase bids for ROS placements

  • Product Pages % - adjusting to increase bids for PP placements

🚨 Note 🚨
There are different impacts for Classic (multi-campaign) goals and Custom (single-campaign) goals for placement multipliers. Learn more here.

Step-by-Step Guide

To apply placement multipliers to your Sponsored Product goals on Perpetua, follow the steps below:

1️⃣ Navigate to the "Sponsored Products" tab and choose the goal where you wish to include placement multipliers from the list displayed under the "Goals" tab.

2️⃣ Click on the "Advanced Settings" on the right-hand side panel.

3️⃣ Navigate to the "Campaign Management" tab on the left side. Select the campaigns you want to add placement multipliers and click on the ▶️ icon to expand the"Adjust Bids by Placement" settings.
Input multipliers for your preferred placement(s) for

  • Top of Search (TOS),

  • Rest of Search (ROS),

  • and/or Product Pages.

🚨 Note 🚨

👉 If NO values are entered in the "Adjust Bids by Placement", Perpetua will make upward adjustments to placements when ALL of the following conditions are met:

  • The campaign realized ACoS is less than the target ACoS.

  • The placement realized ACoS is less than the target ACoS.

  • The budget utilization of the campaign is less than 90% on average over the past 14 days.

  • No single placement has more than 90% of the campaign spend.

👉 If you enter a placement modifier value, the Perpetua engine will skip placement optimization. The modifier value you've assigned for the placement will be reflected in the campaign's setting in the ad console.
