Troubleshooting Errors When Bulk Adding Walmart Item IDs in Perpetua

What to do when you're getting error messages while trying to manually upload an item id to Perpetua.

As mentioned in a previous article, all of your items that you would like to advertise on Walmart may not appear on Perpetua's platform. As a workaround, you may manually add products via our "Bulk Add Item Ids" feature.

Invalid Item ID:

While trying to manually upload item IDs, you are seeing these error messages:



Here are some reasons as to why this could be happening and what steps to take next to resolve this issue:

1️⃣Make Sure This Is the Correct Item ID

In some cases, the issue may be caused by using an incorrect item ID.

Solution: If you’re unsure of your item ID, you can find it in your Walmart Seller Center account. Alternatively, locate your product on Walmart.com and review the product URL, where a product identifier is typically included..

2️⃣The item is unpublished

Solution: Ensure the item is active and published in your Walmart Seller Center or Supplier Center catalog.

To verify that the item is available in your advertising account:

  • Log in to your Walmart Ad Center using the “Sign in with Walmart.com” option.

  • Confirm you are using the correct account.

  • Navigate to the Keywords tab.

  • Select Add Items and search for your item ID.

If the item does not appear in search results, it may not be published or may not be associated with your advertising account, and therefore cannot be advertised.

3️⃣ The Item Is Newly Added or Recently Updated

If an item was recently published or updated, it may take some time before it becomes available in Walmart Ad Center.

Solution: Allow time for the item to fully process and become active across Walmart systems before attempting to add it to your campaigns.


If the item is still not available after some time, verify that it is properly set up and active in your Walmart Seller Center or Supplier Center catalog.

🚨 Note 🚨

If you operate as both a first-party (1P) and third-party (3P) seller on Walmart, your items may be associated with a different account than the one you are using for advertising.

For example, you may be trying to advertise using a 3P Sponsored Products account while the item is set up under a 1P account. In this case, the item will not appear.

To resolve this, ensure you are using the correct Sponsored Products account or create a separate account that matches the item setup.

4️⃣ Grant Access to Perpetua

Before connecting your Walmart account to Perpetua, ensure you have granted Perpetua access within Walmart Ad Center.

Solution:
In Walmart Ad Center, navigate to the Account Management section and add Perpetua as a partner.

Follow the steps outlined in the screenshot below to:

  • Navigate to the Access section

  • Open the Partners tab

  • Select Add partner and grant access
