How Are These Percentages Calculated?

The percentages displayed alongside each traffic metric in your account provide a clear view of performance trends. These percentages reflect the relative increase or decrease by comparing the current period to the previous one.

For example, in the image below, we are analyzing the performance of May 2024. Each value highlighted in red shows the trend compared to the previous month, April.

🚨 Note 🚨
Percentages can only be calculated when there is a previous time period to compare against.

If there isn’t enough performance data, no data will be displayed. This often happens when items were out of stock, causing the campaign to stop running.

Hovering over the graph displays data for a specific date while showing its trend compared to the same date in the previous month.

For instance, hovering over May 19 will compare the metrics to April 18 (30 days earlier). These values, visible in both tiles and tables, highlight changes relative to the previously selected time range.

Orange vs Green Percentages Values

The colours indicate the health of your goal, or account (depending on the dashboard you are viewing) and whether your data trends are ideal.

Green = "Positive" (eg. Attributed sales increase, spend increase)

Orange = "Negative" (eg. Attributed sales decrease, ACoS increase)

Keep in mind that relying on this to gauge your goal health won't give you an accurate reflection of performance. For example, if you're launching your first goal, it's not necessarily a bad thing that your ACoS increased and you're getting an orange percentage - in fact, this is expected (Learn more here).

In-App Navigation

You can view metrics for the previously selected time range in the tiles, graph, or table within the Perpetua dashboard. Hovering over the metrics on the table will automatically display data from the prior time range for comparison.

Click the "Show % Change" option to keep this data visible at all times, eliminating the need to hover over the metrics.
