How Do I Know If I am eligible for Walmart Sponsored Brands and what is the criteria for eligibility?

Eligibility Review

1️⃣ A Walmart Supplier (1P) are automatically eligible for Walmart Sponsored Brands.

2️⃣ A Marketplace Seller (3P) must be a brand owner.

  • Users registered on the Walmart Brand Portal as a super admin user type are rightful brand owners.

  • Users registered as reporters who have been given access to report first-party claims on a super admin’s/brand’s behalf cannot submit additional brands on the company’s behalf, so they are not considered brand owners. 



Criteria for Marketplace Sellers

  • Based in the United States, China, Hong Kong or the United Kingdom; or a pre-approved seller in India

  • Rights owner registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office 

  • Onboarded to the Walmart Brand Portal, Walmart’s intellectual property rights management platform

      • Company information

      • Active trademark registration number

      • Verifiable email address
