When reviewing your PAT campaigns in the Perpetua app, you’ll see spend broken out by three ad placements:
Top of Search
Product Detail Page
Rest of Search
Why are my PAT campaigns showing up in search results (either Top of Search or Rest of Search)?
In a PAT campaign, you’re targeting ASINs and category nodes, not keywords directly. However, if you target an ASIN that already ranks well (organically or via other ads) for a given search term, Amazon may also show your ad on the search results page (Top of Search or Rest of Search) for that term.
So while you’re not bidding on the search term itself, your ASIN- and category-based targeting can still give you visibility in search results when those products are strongly associated with certain queries.
