Introduction
Edit by SKU lets you turn a single SKU on or off inside a Sponsored Products goal — so you can advertise just the version of a product you want, instead of the whole ASIN.
What Edit by SKU does — and why you'd use it
If you sell the same product as both an FBA and an FBM SKU, they usually share one ASIN — and FBA is often the more profitable one to advertise.
Edit by SKU lets you turn a single SKU on or off inside a Sponsored Products goal, so you can put your ad spend behind the SKU that earns you more and leave the other one out. Before Edit by SKU, you could only switch the whole ASIN on or off; now you can go SKU by SKU.
Because you set the change in Perpetua, Edit by SKU stays in place — our automation won't override it, the way manual edits in the Amazon Ads Console used to get reverted.
Before you start
Edit by SKU works for Sponsored Products goals on Amazon.
You'll make the change in the Goal Deep Dive, so open the goal that contains the product you want to adjust.
It's most useful when you have more than one SKU — such as an FBA and an FBM SKU — mapped to the same ASIN.
Turn a SKU on or off
Open the Sponsored Products goal you want to adjust and go to its Goal Deep Dive.
Find the ASIN with the SKUs you want to change. Each SKU appears listed underneath its ASIN.
Set the status of the SKU you want to change — switch the toggle of that SKU to paused to stop advertising it, or enabled to start.
Update your statuses. The SKU's new status shows in the list, and Edit by SKU applies it across every ad group and campaign in that goal — so you set it once.
What Edit by SKU doesn't do
It changes advertising status only — it won't touch your bids or budgets.
It works for Sponsored Products, not Sponsored Brands or Sponsored Display.
It applies within the goal you set it in, across that goal's campaigns and ad groups — not account-wide from a single edit.
