Quick Links:

"Invalid Keyword With Match Type"

If you've come across the error like in the image below, one of the most common reasons for this is including special characters in the Keyword & Product Targeting list during goal setup.

Let's demonstrate how to resolve this in the example below.

1. I've navigated to the Keywords & Product Targeting section of my advanced settings.

2. After clicking "edit" to view my targets, I can see that I added "exercise bike - black" as one of my targets. The " - " prevented my goal from launching so I will need to remove it to launch my goal successfully.

"Duplicate Search Space Phrases Found"

The error in the image below signals that you've added duplicate phrases under either the Branded or Competitor segments of your goal. These duplicates must be removed in order to launch the goal successfully.

To edit and remove the duplicates:

1. Click on the "Edit" icon beside either the Branded or Competitor phrases.

2. You will likely see duplicate phrases in the box. Go through the list and delete any duplicate terms. Then click "done".

IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to add every single branded or competitor keyword within this section. Branded phrases should only include your brand name and any misspellings that come along with it (i.e. Adidas, Adiadas, etc.) The same goes for Competitor phrases, this should only include your Competitors' brand names and any misspellings. Then, Perpetua will target all exact, phrase, and broad match keywords with those phrases included.
