This guide will walk you through:

What are auto bids and how do they work on Walmart Sponsored Products?

Walmart Sponsored Products has 2 types of campaigns: an auto and a manual.

Keywords live in the manual campaign while auto item-level targets live in the auto campaign.

Auto item level targets = You can set bids at the product level within an auto campaign. Ex. Rather than bidding on auto targets such as Loose Match, Close Match, etc. like you do on Amazon, you would set bids for each product that is in the campaign.

How to adjust auto bids manually in Perpetua

Just like with Walmart keywords, Perpetua's ad engine also automatically optimizes your auto bids based on the most relevant incoming performance data. However, there may be circumstances where you'd like to manually adjust the bid yourself and override what are our ad engine is bidding. Well, here's how to do so!

  1. Click into the goal that includes the product(s) you'd like to change auto bids for.

2. Scroll down and go to the "Products" tab. Hover over the product you wish to change auto bids for and click on the pencil icon under the "Auto Bid" column.

3. Input the bid you'd like to override with and click "Confirm". And you're done!

*Note: Once you set an auto bid override using this method, the auto bid will be applied indefinitely UNTIL you manually delete the bid override. This means, you will be continuing to bid the amount you've entered and our ad engine WILL NOT take over optimizing that bid until the override is removed.

How to delete auto bid overrides

If you'd like to delete an auto bid override, here's how!

  1. Click into the goal that includes the product(s) you'd like to delete auto bid overrides for.

2. Scroll down and go to the "Products" tab. Hover over the product you wish to change auto bids for and click on the pencil icon under the "Auto Bid" column.

3. Click "Delete Override". Then you're done!

Note: Once the bid override is deleted, our ad engine will takeover optimizing that bid from that point forward!
