For more established advertisers, Instacart offers access to advanced ad units such as coupons, hero banner ads, and delivery promotion. There is currently no self-serve option for these ad units.
Minimum requirements for access to Managed Ad Units are as follows:
- 80% of UPCs sold on Instacart currently advertised through Featured Product (FP)
- Minimum investment rate of 7.5%, meaning 7.5% of total sales is reinvested into FP advertising
- Pre-qualified for advanced reporting which requires minimum spend of $10,000 per quarter
- All FP "Default" bids are set to maximum suggested bid price (please ask your Data Strategist if you meet this requirement)

When no coupons are being offered by a retailer directly, there is an option to run a coupon for any particular item directly through Instacart directly. Coupons work best for items that already get significant traffic. Otherwise, your coupons may not be used.
Banner ads tun in an aisle or department at the top of the page based on a fixed cost per week.
Delivery promotion banners offer shoppers free delivery after spending a certain amount ($35 in the below example) on eligible products.
